Final Bids to the Championships:  Colorado, Colorado College, Texas, Harvard, Tufts, British Columbia, Oregon, Washington, Whitman, UC-Santa Cruz, Stanford, Virginia, Illinois, Cornell, Wisconsin, Iowa, Carleton, Luther, Pittsburgh, Florida

Northwest

  • DI (4 bids) – British Columbia cruises to a 15-9 win over Oregon for 1st.  Washington takes third after losing to Oregon in a huge come from behind victory.  Whitman earns the fourth and final bid after handing it to Oregon State. (UBC, Oregon, Washington Whitman.)

Southwest

  • DI (2) – After beating Stanford, UC Santa Cruz goes onto win the finals game 15-14 over San Diego State.  Stanford is able to claim the second over an obviously exhausted SDSU 15-8. Congrats to Stanford for turning it around and to SDSU for an amazing season.

New England

  • DI (2) – Harvard wins the region 11-8 over Tufts.  Tufts grabs second bid after beating Dartmouth 15-7.
  • D-III (2) – Bentley beats Colby 16-15 in the finals.  Colby turns around to earn 2nd with a win over Bryant.

Atlantic Coast

  • DI (1) – Virginia wins 15-7 over North Carolina-Wilmington to claim bid.
  • DIII (1) – Wake Forest over Davidson.

Great Lakes

  • DI (1) –  Illinois over Michigan State 15-11 in final. Predicted favorite Michigan falls to Illinois 9-15 in a semifinals upset.
  • DIII (1) – North Park over Rose-Hulman.

Metro East

  • DI (1) – Cornell wins 15-12 over NYU.
  • DIII (1) – Connecticut over Rensselaer Polytech 16-15.

North Central

  • DI (4) – Wisconsin over Carleton 14-11 to win the region. Iowa then beats Carleton 14-6 taking second place. Carleton settles with third. Luther upsets Minnesota 12-9 to take the fourth and final bid to the Championships.
  • DIII (1) – Saint John’s takes the North Central’s ticket to D-III nationals with wins over Beloit and Grinnell.

South Central

  • DI (3) – Colorado Mamabird takes region with a 15-13 win over 2nd Colorado College in a competitive final.  Texas takes the third bid after beating Oklahoma 15-6.

Ohio Valley

  • DI (1) – Pittsburgh over Penn State 15-9 .
  • DIII (2) – Swarthmore takes 1st with a win over Lehigh 15-7.  Lehigh holds on to 2nd, beating Franklin and Marshall 15-5.

Southeast

  • DI (1) – Florida 12-10 over Georgia.
