AUDL Commissioner Steven Gordon announced today that in partnership with Ultimate Xperience Television, the AUDL will be launching its own network on the online sports network called UXtv. The network will feature streams of eight regular season games, and all three of the AUDL playoff games this season – all featured in HD, with instant replays, announcers and commentary, and the ability to stream on mobile devices. Similar to the NexGen Network, fans will have to pay for stream and video access, with individual games and packages available for purchase.

“Our Spotlight games will highlight some of our most intense AUDL rivalries featuring many of the top teams playing in the best venues,” said Commissioner Gordon. The Spotlight games begin on April 20th in Chicago, as the Windy City Wildfire host the Madison Radicals – the game will be free as an introduction for fans to the network. The other games feature the Indianapolis Alleycats, New Jersey Hammerheads, Toronto Rush, Minnesota Windchill, DC Breeze and the New York Empire.

Also in the announcement the AUDL highlighted the additional content that the network will provide for the fans. Perhaps most exciting is the weekly show that will be hosted by Windy City Wildfire player Brodie Smith, which is billed as ‘Brodie Smith Unplugged’. In this show, the release says, Brodie will give his take on pro ultimate, and its players and teams. The other top program will be ‘Ultimate Reload’, a weekly highlight and scores program for each week of AUDL play.

And for the teams not included in the AUDL Spotlight games? The AUDL Network will have a channel for each team, where fans can watch video on demand of their team’s games. Included in this channel will be other team produced content. Currently this includes video of different combines and practices.

To continue to connect with the fans, the AUDL Network on UXtv will also feature two programs to enhance fan awareness of both the teams and their players, and the sport of ultimate. The first feature is titled ‘Five Minute Ultimate’, connecting the players and coaches of the AUDL to the fans will an interview that the AUDL states will be “streaming right to your Facebook.” The second is titled ‘Coaches Corner’, helping fans learn ultimate tips form the pros.

These two programs, combined with the full games, highlights and team content, are what the AUDL hopes will make UXtv “the go-to-site for ultimate fanatics and new fans alike.”
