WCBU 2011: Mixed Final – USA vs Germany (Video)
The two teams that would meet in the finals of the mixed division would be the respective top finishers of the two pools of 11 teams each. The German team would take down Austria 12-9 in quarters and Australia 13-5 in semis.
Before the game, both teams agreed to showcase to the world both the best competition but also the best spirit. Many considered this the best game of the weekend.
WCBU 2011: Open Final – USA vs Philippines (Video)
Both the Philippines and the US had already meet earlier in the week as they were in the same B pool. In that meeting, the US took the Philippines 11-8, but that was a number of days ago. Going into the the championship division, the Philippines upset Canada 10-9 and then again upset Italy (the #1 seed in the bracket) 13-4 the day before the championship game. Both teams would be rested and it was going to for sure be a great game.
