Briefly share the history of your school’s Ultimate program. How it started/developed into a competitive program.

The UCSD Women’s Ultimate team was founded in 1995 by Beth Lewis (who was then known as Beth Phillips). Upon her arrival at UCSD in the fall of 1995, Beth recruited a few young women to play ultimate and founded Psycaughtit (which was later shortened to Psycho sometime during the 2001 season).

What are some of your school’s biggest victories/games in the past decade?

Biggest victory: 2002 Nationals

Who on your roster will be making some of the big plays at the BM?

Almost half our team won nationals way back when and I know those girls are awesome but you never know who will step up and steal the show.

Which match-ups are your team most looking forward to?

For pool play: UCSB. Hopefully our pools play to seed and we also get to play Colorado in the brackets. Traditionally, Colorado has been a huge regional rival and I know for sure that some of the girls want to settle an old score with them.

Why is your team going to win the BM?

The Psychos are going to Muckamuck to hang out, have fun, and win some games.
