As their Kickstarter campaign nears an end, the NexGen Network (NGN) may be onto something big for the sport. NGN intends to broadcast and provide live streaming video of Ultimate to the world. Founded by the same folks that brought you the NexGen Tour, this crew has already shown what they’re capable of in releasing game video from the tour and in their recent coverage of the 2011 USAU Club Championships. NGN brings that all together into one concept – an online television network for the sport of Ultimate.
In this SkydCast, I sit down with Kevin Minderhout, founder and organizer of NGN to learn what happens if this Kickstarter campaign succeeds, find out more about what broadcasts will look like, and gather a better understanding of what an online television network for Ultimate means. Also, listen closely for a special announcement from Kevin about a certain bus-related enterprise.
Don’t forget to support the campaign!
