- Despite how you may have felt at the beginning of the week, Friday has finally arrived. (yes, really!) And you know what that means!? Time to once again celebrate the weekend with MLU highlights! Let’s start off with the MLU Top Plays: On the Offensive side Seattle Rainmakers’ Joseph Sefton goes completely horizontal (and maybe even a bit past horizontal) in the Catch of the Week, and Boston’s Jeff Graham and Brandon Malecek complete the always crowd-pleasing hammer in the Offensive Play of the Week. On the other side of the disc, Vancouver’s Aaron Loach makes not one, but two amazing D’s on the same throw.
- At around 30 seconds each, you probably rifled through the above Top Plays with ease. So let’s take the next step, shall we? These Week 2 highlight vids from around MLU will get you ready for what’s coming next!
- Boston Whitecaps v. DC Current Highlights
- SF Dogfish v. Vancouver Nighthawks Highlights
- SF Dogfish v. Vancouver Nighthawks Highlights Alternate Angle (From a radio-controlled “hexicopter”…sweet)
- Philadelphia Spinners v. NY Rumble Highlights
- Congratulations! You’ve successfully navigated your way through the short stuff and now you’re ready for the big guns. At over an hour per video (the Spinners v. Rumble is more than double that), you can watch MLU full-game footage well into the start of the weekend.
- Want a break from all the high-flying MLU action? Then discover another side of MLU with Craig Becker’s coverage of the collaboration between RISE UP and MLU’s Seattle Rainmakers. Together they will be hosting a youth ultimate clinic for Seattle-area youths on May 12.
- While today’s dumps so far may not suggest it, there is another professional ultimate league currently in season! And it knows how to put out Top Ten videos, too! All joking aside, the Top Ten Plays from the AUDL Week 3 are seriously bomb. dot. com.
Enough with the pro stuff, I’d like to finish where many players got started. 10 more College Open bids and 15 College Women’s bids up for grabs this weekend in four regions (five for Women). This includes the Southeast Region. Florida State’s Open team, DUF, is looking to qualify for Nationals for the first time. Do they have what it takes? This Ultiworld video of FSU’s tilt with Colorado from Easterns2013 could be a good indicator:
