Ultimate GT: Episode 3 | Melbourne Heads of State
by | February 23, 2015, 8:00am 0
I’m proud to present Episode 3 of Ultimate Globe Trotter. This Episode is about my time in Melbourne, Australia with the Heads of State as we seek HoS’ first national championship. They’re a truly authentic group of guys, with whom it was an honor to train, compete and spend time.
Thank you as well to the many talented cinematographers who came to my aid for this episode when my Venezuelan director of photography got stuck in New Zealand for a month after being denied a visa in Australia. We did have the last laugh though.
This was the last stop on the first leg of my journey which took me to Boracay, Philippines (Boracay Dragons) and Auckland, New Zealand (Auckland Magon). 2014 was a busy year for the series. In the summer, I took off for Copenhagen in Denmark to join Ragnarok as they prepared for the World Ultimate Club Championships in Lecco, Italy. I look forward to sharing that story in due time.
Some Thanks
Thank you again to all of the wonderful teams and people I’ve spent time with in my travels. I hope that I am able to continue to travel and tell more of your amazing stories around the global ultimate community.
Special thanks to my family and friends for supporting me and making this project possible.
Shout Outs
Shout out to the music featured in this series: July Days (Australia — featuring Andrew Moroney from HoS), Anoraak (France), and Brendan Maclean (Australia), Matt Alber (USA). I’ve been so honored to use the amazing work of these musicians and watch how well they color the stories of these teams.
And also to the show’s sponsors through the first three episodes: Patagonia, Skyd Magazine, Five Ultimate, Waveborn, nuun, Strideline and Friction Gloves.
