YUCC 2015: Ultimate Canada’s Director on Athletic Development for Kids and Youth

Danny Saunders (B.A, J.D.) is the executive director of Ultimate Canada and a long-time ultimate player. Part of the first generation of Canadian junior players, Danny began playing ultimate in grade 6. After playing just once, he was hooked. Danny has competed at various levels: from elementary school tournaments all the way up to the club level where he has represented Canada at the WJUC and WUCC on multiple occasions. In addition to playing the sport, Danny has also coached Ultimate for over 15 years. He is one of the co-authors of Ultimate Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development model and is one of the developers of Ultimate Canada’s coaching programs.
