Zane first played competitive ultimate as a freshman at the University of Delaware, winning a sectional championship with Sideshow in the 2011- 2012 season. After transferring from Delaware in 2012, he stayed involved with ultimate frisbee through pick-up in his home state of Rhode Island and occasional tournaments with Delaware alumni teams. He has been living and volunteering in the West Bank since 2016, and has been involved with ultimate for the duration of his time in Palestine. He is an English teacher by trade and a writer by vocation.
