How did you get involved with Ultimate at your school?

Jessica Erickson: A friend from high school asked me at orientation and even though I had never played, I was hooked after the first practice.

How did your team do last year? What was the highlight of your season?

Jessica: We got 5th at Central Regionals.

Are there players on your team who deserve consideration for Callahan, All-Region, or Freshman of the Year?

Jessica: Freshman of the Year- Cami Nelson. She’s been playing for 5 years already and she’s an all star. She’s also a great all-around teammate and always ready to play and cheer.

What player is most likely to make a huge play as a thrower? As a receiver? On D?

Jessica: As a receiver, Becca Miller. She’s an athletic, smart cutter that never stops running. On D, Jasmine Draper. She’s a Fifth year senior that has already made a huge impact on the sport and you can a lot of impressive play from her last year.
Who’s a player you have to watch more carefully to see how valuable she is to your team?

Jessica: Catie Bosco- She’s fast and always open. She may not have the big throws but she advances the disc consistently when she’s in.

What tournaments do you plan to attend in the spring? Which one are you most looking forward to?

Jessica: Midwest Throwdown has always been a great experience. The clinic they hold is unique to tournaments and a great way for players from all skill levels to learn.

What does your team do to get pumped up for a big game?

Jessica: We are a team that loves to dance and whether it’s before a game or halftime, it gets us pumped.
