Some brief updates from a sunny, but very windy North Carolina:
- Favorited Pittsburgh was jumped in a second round game by an energetic Virginia Tech. VT ended up winning that game 16-15 and went on to win their next two games against James Madison and Brandeis bringing their Day One record to 4-0.
- Pitt was able to win out the rest of the day with ease, squaring off against the number two seeded Virginia and winning 15-7, as well as facing against the three seeded Dartmouth and winning 15-8.
- Both Dartmouth and Virginia are 3-1 and face each other and Virginia Tech tomorrow . Pitt on the other hand has a relatively easy schedule which should see them into the finals.
- Who ends up playing Pitt is far less certain as Dartmouth, Virginia and Virginia Tech battle it out. If VT can squeak out a win against either of the other teams, they’ll have a shot at taking it to Pitt again.
