Some brief bullets and score reporter links for today:

Women’s

  • Florida Fuel beats out Central Florida 13-8 at the Florida Winter Classic. Looks like Fuel pretty much dominated with exception to a pool play game against Georgia which they took 9-8.
  • Oklahoma upsets a 7-0 in pool play Texas A&M in the final with a close 12-11 victory at Houston Antifreeze.

Open

  • Georgia Tech surprises a favored Virginia Tech in the semi’s of ACCUC, winning 15-7 and going on to topple North Carolina 15-11 in the finals. Virginia Tech was looking impressive in the fall beating out Pitt in day one of UOA Nationals 16-15. They would later fall to Pitt 15-7 in the final, showing that VT can play big, but perhaps not consistently enough just yet. They’ll have plenty of time to develop as the season gets rolling.
  • The defending champion Florida Gators claim gold at the T-Town Throwdown after beating, College Championships competitor, Middlebury 15-11 in the semi’s and then Ohio State 15-10 in the finals. So far, Florida continues to looks strong minus 2010 star Brody Smith. They’ll still face some stiffer competition at the season gets going, so it’s too early to tell what to expect from the Gators.
