box-rainbow2Five Ultimate Boxer Briefs – $19-32

Overall (3/5)

The Five Ultimate Boxer Briefs are a solid piece of underwear. Are they prefect? Far from it. But for a first foray into a very competitive and serious world, the Five briefs stand up pretty well.

Patagonia R1 Hoody – $159

Overall (4.5/5)

I love this thing. It’s  relaxing like a sweatshirt but it’s also conducive to the playing, biking, and wild gesturing that are parts of my daily life.

Disclip – $1.99

A new product for a relatively everyday problem for ultimate players, the Disc Clip allows for the easy transport of a disc everywhere you go.

Overall (3/5)

This is a good “stocking stuffer” or small token gift, if that’s what you’re into.  It will do the job of holding onto your discs, with good reliability according to the Disc Clip YouTube videos.  I think that this product has the potential to be an effective ultimate product, used everyday.

VC Sublimated Shorts – $39 CAD

VC Ultimate has released a special edition set of sublimated “goat shorts”.

Overall (4/5)

As a holiday gift, these shorts will make any ultimate player a very happy recipient.  The design is very cool to look at and will make you stand out on the field.  The shorts are very durable and fit well.  Also, the artist who designed the shorts makes movie posters, which are also pretty cool.

ScoreBand – $26.99

One Seed LLC, maker of ScoreBand, is now looking to foray into the ultimate scene after immediate success in the tennis and golf markets. The common denominator? Self scoring and officiating.

Overall (4/5)

Great color choices in a low-profile, yet functional band with a surprisingly comfortable fit. If ScoreBand truly wants to dive into ultimate as a leader in on-field scorekeeping, there are some hiccups to attend to, but for the most part would do very well to consider ultimate in their future marketing targets. Part of the allure of ultimate is how inexpensive the sport is to play, bring the price point of ScoreBand down slightly and you’ll really have our attention. Even at the current price, ScoreBand still makes a great stocking stuffer for the ultimate player who already has everything Five, Savage or any of the other ultimate retailers make. Overall, 4 out of 5.

Five Daywalker Hoodie -$35

Overall (4/5)

This would gift equally as well for anyone who is active. Your friends and family alike would fall in love with this hoodie after only one wear.

Five Duality Jacket – $50

Overall (4/5)

The FIVE Ultimate Duality Jacket seems like the ideal piece for Ultimate players to wear for prepping for a tournament or warming up for practice.  It is lightweight enough that I wasn’t sweating a ton while going through a warm-up routine or tossing around, but also warm enough that I did not need a ton of layers underneath.
