Skyd is pleased to announce our return to Amsterdam this summer (June 3-5, 2016) for the annual Windmill tournament. This year, Skyd will provide a free video stream of games throughout the event on Skyd’s YouTube channel.

With 33 national teams in attendance, this year’s Windmill will serve as a big lead up to WUGC in London just two weeks later. Windmill will feature 40 Mixed, 24 Men’s and 16 Women’s teams and the same frisbee festival vibe the international ultimate community has known and loved for 11 years.Herbie-Logo-Online

“Windmill is excited to be working with Skyd again for the 2016 edition of our tournament,” shared Tournament Director Lisa Kouwenberg. “Skyd knows how to produce quality footage and have a great crew to work with. Even more exciting is that Skyd is going to enable us to live stream some games for all the ultimate lovers staying at home, allowing more people to tune in to the fun in Amsterdam.”

In addition to live streaming and archiving of the event finals and up to 3 games per day, Skyd will release daily highlights from the tournament.

Skyd Productions President, Mike Palmer, is looking forward to being a part of the iconic tournament. “I had first heard of Windmill in Lecco from Dutchmen Hilco Beukema and Casper Schmitt (who were on the the Skyd production team for WJUC and WUCC).  It sounded awesome and I added it to my mental bucket list. To say I am excited to get over there and share it with the world live is an understatement. Bring on Windmill… I can’t wait!”

We’ll see you in Amsterdam this June.
