Stephen "Pumba" Hubbard was introduced to ultimate by the legendary Dan Schneider of I Bleed Black fame, and spiked his first goal at Bay Area pickup - an easy open side cut. He went on to play for the UCSD Air Squids and San Diego Streetgang in addition to that one time he captained that really good summer league team. He currently lives in Oakland CA, serves on the USAU Board of Directors and is a USAU Observer Trainer.
