Some of you might remember the following snippet from last week’s DIII power rankings: “Finally, look for a special announcement concerning [DIII Warm Up] in the next week. I’ll give you a hint now though: The coverage of this tournament will feature something special that has never been done in any ultimate tournament before (including DI and Club).” Well, the wait is over: DIII Warm Up will feature complete live statistics for every touch of the disc by every player in every game. Thus, we won’t just have assists, turns, Ds and scores, but also stats like efficiencies and completion rates. All stats will be uploaded live to DIII Warm Up’s page on Leaguevine. Feel free to follow the stats of the games as they’re happening. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could even try to set up a scoring system with some friends and have a fantasy draft. Whatever you do, please enjoy this unprecedented new feature of tournament coverage.
